Human Resources
Our HR policy
Professional, responsible and independent personnel
Our personnel reflect the image of the group: professional, responsible and independent.
We thank our personnel for our success, and invest substantial energy in developing their skills and strong points, and ensuring that they are satisfied with their work.
|
|
We create this state of mind via open relations, helping to establish a healthy atmosphere and enable the independence of all personnel, avoiding excessive procedures and hierarchy.

We complete this atmosphere with embedded respect for each and every person and by the consideration of intrinsic qualities and aspirations.
As we have made it clear, for us, your professional attitude and human qualities are more important than your qualifications, not that we will underestimate the latter!
If you feel you could fit it with our approach, if you dream of independence, if you feel able to take on responsibility, join us…
We will be delighted to introduce you to our world.
What our current personnel say

Armindo R., age 32, Team leader
« GCC allows you to make progress, and I have no intention of stopping now ! »
I joined GCC five years ago.
I used to construct houses and work in a wide range of sectors.
With GCC, I am part of a large company with a human approach and I am currently learning to handle carcassing sectors, which gives me great satisfaction.
If you aim to move on and up in life, you can climb the ladder with GCC.
I have climbed from concrete shutterer to team leader and am now proud to supervise 3 to 4 workers.

Antonio M., M., age 33, Project manager
« Sites change all the time, which means we never hit the boredom stage »
Even as a young boy, I was attracted by the Construction sector: getting out and about in the field, building, creating large works to be used by others…
After taking my "A" levels in mathematics and science and continuing with civil engineering studies, I started work with a large group.
I rapidly realised that I would prefer a smaller structure.
I decided to opt for GCC 5 years ago. I realised that I would have more room to communicate, progress and add my own personal touch, particularly as the projects very widely.
I have managed construction projects for show rooms, schools and even a church !

Joël P., age 24, Project manager
« … know that I can achieve all this with GCC »
I discovered the Construction sector quite by luck during an open day.
I was immediately taken in by the site lifestyle.
I passed my 'A' levels in science and civil engineering, continued with a 2-year course in Construction and finished off with a vocational 3rd year course.
When I arrived in Lyons, several companies offered me work.
I chose GCC as I was convinced by its subsidiary-based structure with a human approach.
I am currently a Project manager, and I aim to keep progressing, to gain in terms of responsibility and handle larger, more technical projects. I know that I can achieve all this with GCC.

Arnaud P., age 33, Works director
« Adapting your style to the different contacts is a job in itself ! »
Before I starting constructing buildings, I started destroying them !
I began my career with a demolition firm before joining GCC.
Right now, I am in charge of my assigned operation. This means technical management, obviously, but I also handle human, administrative and commercial aspects.
Each site is a challenge for me.
I need to lead the teams, but I also need to listen to their requirements, while our customers demand flexibility and discipline.

|
Ghislain D., age 27, Works foreman
« I have found the freedom I needed to build my career »
Shopping malls, factories, hotels, car park…
I am currently achieving the ambitions of my younger days: the drive to construct, to see the works I manage grow before my eyes.
Following my training in civil engineering to post-graduate level, I was offered a position with several companies.
I opted for GCC because I appreciated the professional approach inherent to a large group, while being able to join a structure which enables its personnel to develop their skills.

Nicolas P., age 23, Bricklayer-Form setter
« I am proud of my work and GCC projects »
Team supervision is an essential ingredient in good workmanship.
I can compare my time with GCC with previous experience and am happy to note that more attention is paid to individuals, and we are appreciated as people.
I was keen to begin with, and this environment encourages me even more.
I know that I have the capacity and drive to become a team leader, and maybe even a site manager.
